Surgical Pathology Director

Job Summary: The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Kentucky is seeking a highly qualified surgical pathologist to serve as the Director of Surgical Pathology. The successful candidate will have an MD, DO, or equivalent, with fellowship training in surgical pathology and demonstrated leadership capacity.
Responsibilities: The Director of Surgical Pathology will provide administrative leadership as the section director for the histology and surgical pathology laboratories, provide clinical subspecialty surgical pathology services, and participate in scholarly initiatives of the Department and the College of Medicine.
Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of administration/management experience in an anatomic laboratory division, with a strong preference for a candidate with demonstrated leadership capacity and the ability to become a senior department leader.
