Job Title: Domestic Violence Liaison

The City of New York is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our team as a Domestic Violence Liaison. In this critical role, you will provide critical support and services to victims of domestic violence, helping them to navigate the complexities of the system and access the resources they need to rebuild their lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to identify the needs of clients and develop individualized plans to address those needs.
  • Provide direct counseling services to clients, including crisis intervention and support.
  • Collaborate with community partners to ensure seamless referrals and access to services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, families, and community members to promote trust and build strong relationships.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions and services provided.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on best practices and emerging trends in domestic violence services.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Valid LMSW or LCSW license issued by the New York State Department of Education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
