The Director of Imaging Sciences is a key leadership position responsible for the strategic direction and operational management of the Radiologic Technology and Diagnostic Medical Sonography programs at Northeast College of Health Sciences.
Key Responsibilities- Provide visionary leadership and guidance to the Imaging Sciences programs, ensuring alignment with the College's mission and accreditation standards.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate curricula, as well as coordinate contemporary resources for student instruction, to ensure a premier educational experience.
- Collaborate with clinical coordinators to secure clinical education sites and maintain affiliation agreements, ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements.
- Lead the search process for high-quality faculty and staff, and provide leadership and academic support to promote a culture of excellence.
- Teach a minimum of two courses per year within the Radiologic Technology program, demonstrating expertise and commitment to teaching and learning.
- Oversee the budgets for areas of supervision, monitor expenses, and develop a three-year strategic plan based on program evaluation results.
- Represent the imaging sciences programs in committees, promoting the participation of students and personnel in College activities and fostering integration with the campus community.
- Earned Master's degree from an accredited institution required; earned doctorate in an applicable field of study preferred.
- Previous experience in curriculum design, evaluation, instruction, program administration, and academic advising, with a minimum of three years' full-time clinical experience in the professional discipline.
- Minimum of two years' experience as an instructor in an accredited imaging sciences program, with current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration, or equivalent as defined by professional and New York state accreditation standards.
- Previous experience providing clinical supervision and administrative leadership within a college/university setting, with familiarity with standards needed for accreditation and experience with data collection and analysis.
