Job Summary:

The Director of Imaging Sciences is a key leadership position responsible for the educational development, accreditation, and delivery of the Radiologic Technology and Diagnostic Medical Sonography programs at Northeast College of Health Sciences. This full-time administrative role requires a strong background in curriculum design, evaluation, instruction, and program administration. The successful candidate will provide leadership, guidance, and educational support to the Imaging Sciences department, ensuring alignment with the College's mission and applicable regional and professional accrediting bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and guidance to the Imaging Sciences department, including curriculum design, evaluation, and implementation.
Ensure program accreditation and compliance with relevant standards, including Joint Review Commission in Radiologic Technology (JR-CERT), New York State Education Department (NYSED), and Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE).
Collaborate with the clinical coordinator to secure clinical education sites for students in both programs, submitting and maintaining affiliation agreements and contract requirements as needed.
Lead the search process to recruit and select high-quality faculty and staff, ensuring a diverse and inclusive team.
Direct the processes that assure program accreditation and ongoing compliance, including writing self-studies, site visits, and peer evaluation for nationally recognized agencies.
Coordinate with the Executive Director of Accreditation, Compliance, and Planning to ensure compliance with accreditation mandates, clinical site requirements, and notification of any substantive changes within the program or any change in accreditation status.
Promote innovative teaching methods and incorporate technology, including online resources, into curriculum, creating a premier scholarly environment for students and faculty.
Coordinate the curriculum and course schedules with the Registrar's Office, providing first-level resolution for program faculty, staff, and student concerns.
Maintain records of program faculty and staff required professional credentials, licensing, and continuing education hours, as discipline standard dictates.
Develop and implement a three-year strategic plan based on program evaluation results or other relevant assessment data, representing the imaging sciences programs in committees requiring a leadership role.

Requirements:

Earned Master's degree from an accredited institution required; earned doctorate in applicable field of study preferred.
Previous experience in curriculum design, evaluation, instruction, program administration, and academic advising, with a minimum of three years' full-time clinical experience in the professional discipline.
Minimum of two years' experience as an instructor in an accredited imaging sciences program, holding current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration, or equivalent as defined by professional and New York state accreditation standards.
Previous experience providing clinical supervision and administrative leadership within a college/university setting, with experience with accreditation, data collection and analysis, and continuous improvement of processes, programs, and services.
Demonstrated cultural competence, sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds of undergraduate college students, faculty, and staff, and a commitment to a student-centered environment.
