Position Overview

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Act as a representative of the organization as a certified expert.

Oversee the branch's Customs Brokerage Operations, providing training to other team members on customs-related matters as necessary.

  • Supervise Import/Entry Writers and Operations, ensuring all customs clearance processes are efficiently managed.
  • Collaborate with U.S. Customs and various Government Agencies to adhere to federal regulations.
  • Exhibit exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrate a keen attention to detail, customer-centric approach, and the ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Possess strong multitasking skills, ensuring accurate billing and effective resolution of logistical challenges.
  • Proficient in computer applications.

Handle Customs Entries, ISF, ACH Statements, Post Summary Corrections, and other essential brokerage services.

Ensure the validation and maintenance of Customs Powers of Attorneys.

Address customer inquiries regarding Customs and other relevant Government Agency requirements.

Compile Monthly Statistical and Management reports for the department.

Alert management to customer complaints or discrepancies in entries, providing recommendations for resolution.

Ensure all brokerage documentation is precise and reconciled.

Maintain open communication with clients, carriers, U.S. Customs, and CFS representatives.

Coordinate and troubleshoot any shipment issues with both local and international offices.

Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred; alternatively, a combination of some college experience or an Associate's Degree from an accredited institution along with relevant work experience.

2. A minimum of three years of experience in various aspects of the Customs House Brokerage function.

3. Strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, reliability, persistence, time management, and documentation skills.

4. Proven capability to communicate effectively with clients and vendors.

5. Demonstrated ability to propose and implement corrective measures in response to arising issues.
