Job Title: Cloud and Data Business Development Manager

Learning Tree International is a global leader in delivering business impact at the intersection of people, process, and technology. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cloud and Data Business Development Manager to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for selling AI/Cloud/Data courses and services to organizations and businesses. They will identify, target, and win new business within Learning Tree's AI/Cloud/Data Practice Area. The incumbent will look beyond Learning Tree's existing customer base to expand market share and contribute to our ongoing growth trajectory.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in a new business sales environment, with demonstrated experience in selling service-based solutions. Experience in selling learning solutions (particularly AI/Cloud/Data programs) would be an advantage.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Achieve defined new business revenue goals through new logo acquisition.
  • Act as a 'subject matter champion' in AI/Cloud/Data products and services to demonstrate knowledge and create strategic partnerships with customers.
  • Generate own leads through creative prospecting and industry networking/event participation targeted at leading commercial organizations and government agencies.
  • Qualify, nurture, and close leads generated by Marketing.
  • Conduct market research to identify new client targets and capitalize on market trends.
  • Deliver dynamic presentations and customer pitches that differentiate us from the competition.
  • Create compelling proposals that demonstrate customer value and business impact.
  • Identify RFP and programmatic opportunities to accelerate growth.
  • Progress pipeline efficiently to maximize win ratio.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Five years' experience in direct sales or business development in software, cloud, or SaaS markets.
  • Familiarity with Data engineering/data science/AIML technical knowledge with the ability to go deep on concepts, frameworks, and architectures in data, analytics, and/or AIML domains.
  • Track-record winning large data and AI cloud projects with successful delivery.
  • Experience in large enterprise customer-facing roles.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Proven past performance of exceeding targets within a new business development role.
  • Consultative and/or service-based sales experience.
  • Appetite for impactful and creative prospecting activity.
  • Strategic thinker and communicator with experience engaging senior client stakeholders.
  • Strong presenter and facilitator of client meetings (both online and in-person).
  • Hands-on familiarity with CRM and pipeline software, along with an inclination to embed it into daily activity.
