Description:
As a Senior Cloud Data Scientist at Hudson Data, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data solutions using Python, Kafka, Spark, and other cloud-based technologies. You will work closely with our team to integrate third-party APIs, develop complex software, and drive ELT solutions across the AWS consumption Stack. We are looking for a highly skilled professional with expertise in data structures, algorithms, performance, and scalability, as well as a strong desire to learn functional programming. If you have experience with distributed systems, application design, and healthcare data, we would love to hear from you.

Required Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science or Engineering, or a related technical field

  • 5+ years of Expertise writing production grade code in Python, Kafka, Spark, Scala, and/or Java
  • Coding experience in shipping/Devops complex software to production
  • Expertise in data structures, algorithms, performance, and scalability
  • Knowledge of high-scale performance and optimization tools and techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Kafka, Spark, Apache Airflow, and Kubernates (Docker and containers)
  • Understanding of fault-tolerant systems, network programming, multithreaded programming, and security
  • Experience with distributed systems and application design in a SOA environment
  • Experience with AWS and/or Azure (configuring, deploying, managing) services and distributed applications
