Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Representative to join our team at MetroHealth Medical Center. As a key member of our ambulatory practice, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients and families, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring seamless registration, scheduling, and pre-certification processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and analyze patient demographic and payor data to optimize reimbursement for the MetroHealth System
  • Ensure accurate and timely patient registration, scheduling, and pre-certification for services
  • Uphold the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of work experience in medical billing or patient registration, or education related to medical billing or patient registration from an accredited institution
  • Current certification as a Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA)
  • Ability to pass the PSR pre-employment screening test with a score of 75% or better and the post-employment test with a score of 80% or better
Preferred Qualifications

Two years of relevant work experience and/or education, with a strong understanding of healthcare access and patient registration processes.

Physical Requirements

This role requires:

  • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day
  • Ability to see in the normal visual range with or without correction
  • Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction
  • Finger dexterity to operate office equipment
  • Ability to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion
