Job Summary

The University of the Incarnate Word seeks a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Coordinator of Systems and Licensing for the UIW Libraries. This key position is responsible for the administration and management of all systems and platforms in support of library operations, including the library system platform – ALMA, the discovery system PRIMO, instructional and data collection systems – LibWizard suite, the digital repository – ExLibris, Library websites, all servers that support library operations, and all other library cloud-based systems related to library operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and troubleshoot the Libraries' cloud-based systems, including software-as-a-service, licensed content platforms and databases, the LSP and Discovery Systems, all servers that communicate with university enterprise-wide systems, FTP and authentication servers, and all other systems and platforms that are part of the Libraries operational support.
  • Administer and review contract and licensing and make recommendations to the Dean of Libraries as well as the calendar of renewal / payment of these products.
  • Work with information technologies and website staff to enhance and maintain the Libraries online platforms.
  • Serve as the technical contact for Libraries' core systems and platforms.
  • Direct support staff in this area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • MLS/MLIS from an American Library Association accredited program.
  • Two (2) years of experience overseeing cloud-based library systems and administering library systems and platforms such as ILS/LSP.
  • Two (2) years of experience managing electronic resources licensing in a library setting.
  • Two (2) years of experience developing and managing webpages and online content.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ALMA Certification.
  • Demonstrated experience working with ALMA/Primo; webpage coding, LibWizard, Digital Commons/BePress, EZ Proxy.
  • Three (3) years or more managing and administering Library Systems/ Platforms and digital content licensing and in overseeing cloud-based library systems.
