Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Nurse to join our team at New Fairfield Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, organizing, and overseeing the health services program provided by our school nurses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health services policies and procedures in accordance with state laws and district regulations.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of school nurses, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with school administrators and staff to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent illness.
  • Develop and implement staff development programs for school nurses, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  • Manage the health services budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective allocation of funds.
  • Coordinate with district administrators to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Connecticut.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a pediatric or school health setting.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with experience in managing a team of healthcare professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
