Diesel Technician with CDL A License

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician with a valid CDL A license to join our team at Technical Professionals Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for conducting thorough vehicle tests, developing prototypes, and troubleshooting instrumentation and sensors.
This is a safety-sensitive position requiring all individuals assigned to this role to be drug-free and able to pass a drug screen successfully.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct complete vehicle tests and collaborate with technicians and test engineers.
- Perform mechanical labor, assist in prototype development, and installation of instrumentation on diesel test vehicles.
- Troubleshoot and maintain instrumentation and sensors.
- Set up and maintain test rigs for vehicle testing along with data acquisition.
- Execute physical tests on test objects by driving and following test cases under the direction of a test engineer.
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of heavy truck and trailer systems and functions.
- Good understanding of A/C systems; basic knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems.
- Ability to identify different types of instrumentation, understand their applications, and functions.
- Proficient in troubleshooting both technical and mechanical problems.
- High school diploma or associate degree in Electronic/Engineering Technologies/Diesel Technician Studies
- Minimum 3 years of experience in diesel truck servicing or certification from a Diesel Technician program.
- Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Must possess and maintain a Class A CDL along with a DOT Medical Card.
- Willingness to travel.
