Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Mortgage Loan Specialist to become part of our innovative real estate and mortgage brokerage team.

In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting our clients with their home financing needs while delivering outstanding customer service and fostering long-term relationships.


This position is ideal for individuals who hold an active DRE salesperson or broker license, along with an MLO license.


At McDermott Realty Group, we boast a robust team of over 20 real estate agents, generating a substantial number of buyer leads each month that directly contribute to our mortgage operations.

This framework ensures our Loan Officers have a consistent influx of potential clients seeking mortgage solutions before they embark on their home buying journey.


You will collaborate with our diverse team of agents, ranging from newcomers to seasoned professionals, to cultivate new business opportunities using our established systems. For those committed to putting in the effort, this role can lead to a reliable income stream in today’s competitive market.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, and you should be comfortable working within a team setting.


Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and nurture relationships with clients, real estate professionals, and referral sources to generate mortgage loan opportunities.
  • Perform financial assessments to evaluate loan eligibility and present appropriate loan options to clients.
  • Gather and verify necessary documentation from borrowers to ensure precision and completeness.
  • Assist clients throughout the loan application journey, clarifying terms, conditions, and requirements.
  • Facilitate seamless and timely loan closings for clients.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and market developments to provide accurate and trustworthy information.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and address inquiries and concerns professionally.

Qualifications
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; bilingual candidates, especially Spanish speakers, are encouraged to apply.
  • Possession of an active DRE license and MLO license is required.
  • Familiarity with mortgage products, loan origination processes, and industry regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and sustain meaningful relationships.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications and mortgage loan origination systems.
