We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Mortgage Loan Specialist to become a vital part of our distinctive real estate and mortgage brokerage.

In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting our in-house clientele with their mortgage financing requirements while delivering outstanding customer service and fostering enduring relationships.


This position is ideal for candidates who hold an active DRE salesperson or broker license, along with an MLO license.


At McDermott Realty Group, we operate a robust team of over 20 real estate agents, equipped with both company-generated and agent-sourced buyer leads (exceeding 100 per month) that directly contribute to our mortgage operations.

This structure ensures our Loan Officers benefit from a consistent influx of potential buyer leads seeking mortgage assistance before initiating their home search.


You will collaborate with our team of agents, ranging from newcomers to seasoned professionals, to cultivate new business opportunities utilizing our systems, which can lead to a reliable income stream in today’s competitive market.

Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, along with the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and nurture relationships with clients, real estate professionals, and referral partners to generate mortgage loan opportunities.
  • Perform financial assessments to determine loan eligibility and present appropriate loan options to clients.
  • Gather and evaluate necessary documentation from borrowers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist clients throughout the loan application process by clarifying terms, conditions, and requirements.
  • Facilitate smooth and timely loan closings for clients.
  • Remain informed about industry regulations and market trends to provide accurate and reliable guidance.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and address inquiries and concerns professionally.

Qualifications
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Possession of an active DRE license and MLO license is required.
  • Familiarity with mortgage products, loan origination processes, and industry regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
