Job Summary

The Registered Nurse coordinates and oversees health and medical services in accordance with regulatory, accreditation, and agency standards for children with severe emotional disturbances in our innovative community-based Child Focused Assertive Community Treatment Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Nursing Treatment and Assessment: Assume primary responsibility for medication administration management and coordination, assist in the assessment and admission process, conduct on-going assessment of medical needs, and monitor client medical status.
  • Team Management: Provide oversight of medical services provided, serve as liaison with physicians and psychiatry, and participate in daily/weekly client staffing and team meetings.
  • Administration: Provide written medical reports, maintain appropriate records, and coordinate and monitor staff medication administration cycle.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
  • Experience: At least one year's related experience and/or training.
  • Licensure: North Carolina Licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • Skills: Basic computer skills, ability to utilize an electronic health record and associated software and hardware, and a valid Driver's License.
Work Environment

The work environment will contain slight to moderate office-related noises. The employee is not exposed to extreme weather conditions, toxic fumes, or airborne particles. The employee must occasionally travel to different locations in the course of work.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Employee must be able to operate a vehicle for job duties, and keep a valid NC drivers license with insurance.
