Position Overview:
The Project and Communications Specialist plays a pivotal role within the Department of Public Health, serving as a key program consultant. This position is responsible for the comprehensive management and integration of outreach initiatives and activities aimed at promoting health equity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement internal and external communication strategies and outreach materials.
- Review and analyze proposed legislation related to health equity, providing insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with a diverse range of branch managers and program specialists to ensure effective communication and program delivery.
Telework Opportunities:
This role may offer the flexibility of teleworking up to three days a week, with a requirement to report in-person to the designated office location at least two days a week. The specifics of telework arrangements are subject to departmental discretion and may change based on operational needs.
Eligibility Requirements:
All candidates must be California residents as per state regulations. Those residing outside California may be considered for interviews, but must establish residency in California prior to appointment.
Travel Requirements:
Business travel may be necessary, with reimbursement for travel expenses governed by applicable regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
