Description
The Town of Fountain Hills is seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Operations Support Worker within the Community Center. This part-time position is essential for ensuring the seamless execution of various events and activities.
Under the supervision of the Community Center Manager and with support from the Operations Coordinator, the Operations Support Worker will be responsible for the setup and breakdown of furniture and equipment in accordance with event specifications. This role is crucial for maintaining the functionality of the Community Center and ensuring a positive experience for all visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the arrangement and disassembly of chairs, tables, staging, sound systems, and other necessary equipment as per event requirements.
- Possess a working knowledge of audio-visual and kitchen equipment, including the ability to set up and operate such tools effectively.
- Occasionally open and secure the facility before and after events, documenting attendance and any notable issues in event reports.
- Continuously seek ways to enhance operations, reduce turnaround times, and streamline processes while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks as required, including sanitizing restrooms, washing surfaces, and managing waste disposal.
- Carry out additional related duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in audio-visual setups and customer service; prior experience in event or meeting facilities is advantageous.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for at least two years; CPR/AED certification is preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of experience and training that meet the minimum qualifications may be considered.
- Strong reading and comprehension skills, with the ability to follow written instructions accurately.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and balancing accounts.
- Effective written communication skills for inter-shift communication.
- Strong focus on customer service and client satisfaction is vital for success in this role.
- Teamwork and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration.
- This position is classified as "Part-Time Non-Regularly Scheduled, Temporary, or Seasonal," and does not include benefits beyond State-Mandated Paid Sick Leave.
