Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit RN

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit team at Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, Texas. As a Pediatric CVICU RN, you will provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients and their families, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring timely and effective interventions to address patient needs.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the healthcare team, providing accurate and timely updates.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines, ensuring seamless patient care and efficient communication among team members.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure a smooth transition to home or next level of care.
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date required.
- Registered Nurse licensure from the Texas Board of Nursing required.
- 1-2 years of Pediatric CVICU RN experience.
- BSN degree.
