Role Overview
The Channel Engagement Specialist will play a crucial role in executing strategic initiatives within our Fire Sprinkler Segment to achieve profitable sales and earnings targets. This position will collaborate closely with the Channel Manager to cultivate robust relationships with key decision-makers, optimizing sales opportunities and addressing customer inquiries effectively. The Channel Engagement Specialist will also oversee the implementation of programs and key sales/marketing activities nationwide, aimed at generating demand and enhancing market share through merchandising initiatives, targeted campaigns, and product training/demonstrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster strong relationships with key decision-makers in the channel and at targeted end-user accounts to maximize sales potential.
- Continuously gather market insights by leveraging intelligence from various external and internal sources.
- Analyze purchasing data, market trends, competitive landscape, and performance drivers to identify opportunities and threats.
- Recommend and implement channel programs that drive profitable revenue growth.
- Execute brand-building strategies within the channel, including the development of planograms and deployment of merchandising materials.
- Coordinate key sales activities, including campaign execution, new product placements, promotions, and trade show support.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to provide feedback and ensure customer needs are met.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of products and applications, effectively communicating product advantages to customers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience is preferred.
- Proven ability to identify and implement actions that enhance account positioning.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
- Results-oriented with excellent follow-through capabilities.
- Exceptional communication skills, including effective presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to travel frequently, approximately 65% of the time.
