We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist II to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals. As a key member of our medical weight loss program, you will provide psychological evaluation, intervention, and support to patients enrolled in the program.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct psychological evaluations and develop treatment plans in coordination with medical providers and registered dietitians.
- Provide evidence-based psychological testing and interventions, including motivational interviewing and group therapy.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and primary care physicians to manage patient care and make referrals as needed.
- Supervise and train psychology interns and externs, and participate in continuing education activities to maintain current licensure.
- Develop and implement differential diagnoses for patients, and ensure proper referral to other team members as needed.
- Doctoral degree in Psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program.
- Valid license and current registration to practice as a Psychologist issued by the NYSED.
- Proof of passing licensing examination and proof that completed license application and all supporting documentation have been submitted to NYSED, which leads to licensure and registration, within six (6) months.
We offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance coverage, dental, vision, retirement saving plans, and paid time off. Additionally, you will receive $4,855 annually if you are currently registered and possess a New York State license to practice as a psychologist.
