Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist II to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals. As a key member of our medical weight loss program, you will provide psychological evaluation, intervention, and support to patients enrolled in the program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychological evaluations and develop treatment plans in coordination with medical providers and registered dietitians.
  • Provide evidence-based psychological testing and interventions, including motivational interviewing and group therapy.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and primary care physicians to manage patient care and make referrals as needed.
  • Supervise and train psychology interns and externs, and participate in continuing education activities to maintain current licensure.
  • Develop and implement differential diagnoses for patients, and ensure proper referral to other team members as needed.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in Psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program.
  • Valid license and current registration to practice as a Psychologist issued by the NYSED.
  • Proof of passing licensing examination and proof that completed license application and all supporting documentation have been submitted to NYSED, which leads to licensure and registration, within six (6) months.
