The Maintenance Engineering Supervisor is tasked with establishing and overseeing preventive maintenance programs and personnel aimed at enhancing production line efficiency. This role involves meticulous scheduling and planning of maintenance activities, as well as initiatives for cost reduction. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Accounting, to drive process improvements and resolve significant operational challenges.

This position is integral to the Engineering team. The Supervisor will manage technicians on a shift that commences in the evening, with 12-hour shifts in place. At Danaher, our vision is to lead in providing seamlessly integrated diagnostic solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program for manufacturing equipment, including the development and documentation of PM procedures, scheduling and coordinating PM activities, and implementing enhancements to improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching and guidance to employees, and manage staffing to fulfill maintenance requirements.
  • Engage with external vendors for equipment procurement and manage spare parts usage to optimize costs and efficiency.
  • Ensure all manufacturing areas and equipment are maintained to high standards of cleanliness and compliance with regulatory requirements, while continuously monitoring and improving operational efficiency.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School diploma with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience with equipment and proficiency in using hand tools and machine shop tools.
  • Familiarity with mechanical design principles and machinery, including electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical systems.
  • Experience in maintenance or technical fields, complemented by training in supervisory and communication skills, Good Manufacturing Practices, and cost accounting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of Lean 5S Manufacturing principles.
  • Experience with PLC and Control Systems.
  • Familiarity with Vision and Laser Systems.
