Job Summary

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for applying research and principles of engineering to the planning, design, development, documentation, and testing/debugging of various instruments, equipment, systems, and/or software with our automation manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reliability-Centered Maintenance: Create and assign tasks for mechanical system Reliability-centered maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, and Condition-based Maintenance programs.
  • Critical Mechanical Work Processes: Respond to escalations, execute, repair, and monitor critical mechanical work processes - Inspections, Mechanical Safety, and provide Engineering Feedback to the manager for improvements to automated lines. Design prototypes for machine improvements. Identify and lead small improvement projects, PSPs, DOEs, etc.
  • Problem-Solving and Failure Analysis: Lead problem-solving efforts and Failure Analysis (IFA) for mechanical systems – sensors, HMIs, gearboxes, actuators, pneumatics, bearings, motors, robotics, fiber optics, vision systems, welding systems, servo systems, heating systems, RTDs and thermal probes, MCCs, and P&IDs, etc. Create troubleshooting documents and assist with technician development through technical training and OTJ.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with SolidWorks and Microsoft Applications – Visio, Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.
  • Problem-Solving Experience: Proven work experience with mechanical problem-solving in a manufacturing environment.
  • Design Experience: Design experience.
  • Basic Hand Tools and Measuring Equipment: Experience with basic hand tools and measuring equipment, including calipers, digital/laser ruler, protractor, 3D printer, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Electro-Mechanical Equipment: Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Minitab: Experience with Minitab.
  • Six Sigma Tools: Experience with Six Sigma tools.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role is $70,400 - $98,100 annually. This is the range that we in good faith, believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
