Job Description

Assembly Technician

At Blanchard Equipment Company, Inc, we are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for the set-up and assembly of all types of equipment offered for sale by the dealership. Your primary goal will be to ensure that every piece of equipment is thoroughly inspected and prepared for delivery to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Service Manager and technicians in the efficient operation of the department
  • Clean, organize, and maintain the condition of the shop, vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment
  • Assist service technicians as needed, including delivery of parts
  • Assist service technicians with repairing, servicing, and moving equipment
  • Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders
  • Responsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders and on-time submittal of information
  • May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
  • Operate and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment required to perform job responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments

Requirements:

  • Experience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment used in machinery pre-delivery and set-up processes
  • Experience with basic computer functions
  • Experience working cooperatively in a team environment
  • Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing
  • Must have an adequate toolset to perform job responsibilities (may be provided by dealership)
  • Valid driver's license required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred
  • Valid drivers license is required
  • Fork lift license preferred
