Position Summary:

The Senior Architectural Leader will oversee client engagements, guide a team of architects, and manage the planning, design, and supervision of construction for various building projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and formulate solutions addressing project goals, program specifications, and budgetary constraints in collaboration with the design team and clients.
  • Engage in preliminary design services, including feasibility assessments, site selection studies, cost evaluations, and documentation of design requirements.
  • Create schematic designs, development documents, and final construction drawings that illustrate the architectural vision and construction details.
  • Draft project specifications as necessary.
  • Investigate state and local building regulations, zoning requirements, fire safety codes, and other relevant ordinances, including accessibility standards.
  • Devise solutions that align with clients' environmental and sustainability objectives.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure adherence to design intent, material specifications, and quality standards by contractors.
  • Collaborate with the Team Leader, Project Manager, Project Architect, and various engineering disciplines to generate innovative, effective, and aesthetically pleasing solutions.
  • Adhere to the company's Quality Control and Project Management protocols.
  • Assist in business development efforts by creating proposal visuals and presentations.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Work Environment:

Work is conducted in a corporate office setting.

Physical Requirements:

Extended periods of sitting at a workstation and proficiency in operating a computer and other office equipment are necessary. Ability to navigate the office to access equipment and facilities is required. This role involves frequent communication with colleagues and clients, necessitating accurate information exchange.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field is mandatory.
  • NCARB Architectural Registration in the relevant state is essential.
  • A minimum of 7 years of professional experience is required.
  • Expertise in architectural system design, construction documentation, and associated technologies is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite is expected.
  • Demonstrated ability in critical and creative thinking related to design processes is essential.
  • Understanding of architectural specifications, international building codes, life safety regulations, and current accessibility standards is required.
  • Knowledge of programming, planning, and building performance is advantageous.
  • Participation in relevant AIA, NCARB, and community activities is preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
  • Strong attention to detail, teamwork, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving abilities are crucial.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to adapt to change are required.
  • Capability to interact effectively with colleagues, clients, vendors, and other business contacts is essential.
