Job Summary:

Sigma Technologies, Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Project Supervisor to join our team. As a Project Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and designers to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level leadership to a team of engineers and designers
  • Supervise and lead daily functional activities
  • Concurrently perform the work of those you supervise
  • Provide support to key duties of the Project Manager/Project Engineer
  • Assist in reviewing function/project procedures, specifications, and standards
  • Work with the Project Engineer to set priorities for the team to ensure task completion and coordinate work activities for team members
  • Provide cross-functional representation and mentor team members in professional development
  • Responsible for performance management of team members, including completing and delivering annual performance reviews for assigned staff and providing input on disciplinary actions
  • Adapt management to changing conditions and support associates affected by the change

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or higher preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in the Electric Utility Industry required; previous experience as a supervisor/manager strongly preferred
  • Advanced field, drafting, and/or design knowledge
  • Identified leadership skills
  • Familiar with basic concepts, practices, and procedures used in general personnel management
  • Strong technical knowledge, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop plans and organize work to ensure efforts are focused, resources are aligned, progress is monitored, and targets are met
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team
  • Basic financial management skills
  • Ability to learn and operate customer-based proprietary software
  • Available during core work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time; evening and/or weekend work may be required as duties demand
  • Willing and able to travel as needed, including overnight travel
  • Dependable transportation and valid driver's license and insurance
  • Able to pass a background check/drug test/driving record check
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to endure frequent, lengthy periods of sedentary work and sit for prolonged periods of time, including sitting at a desk or driving in a vehicle
  • Must be able to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods of time
  • Must have the physical ability to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing notes, and viewing a computer terminal; these activities require close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Must have the physical ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word and convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, often in a group setting
  • Must have the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication
