Job Summary:

As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in the healthcare team, working with patients to restore function and improve quality of life. You will evaluate patients' physical status, functional abilities, and age-specific needs to determine the current level of functioning, self-care, self-responsibility, independence, and quality of life.

You will develop and implement treatment plans that involve the patient, family, and social support systems, identifying interventions to reach reasonable goals, coordinating and collaborating on treatment options, advocating to enhance patients' social support systems, facilitating environmental modifications, and creating new support systems.

You will integrate discharge planning early in treatment based on continuing assessments and stated expectations for achieving treatment goals and objectives. You will provide treatments based on established departmental guidelines and protocols, demonstrating competency in managing patients based on competency checklists.

You will maintain professional competency by attending continuing education applicable to the specific patient population treated, presenting in-services as appropriate, and supporting organizational mission statement and goals.

You will demonstrate time management skills by meeting productivity standards, using patient treatment time effectively, and utilizing time between patient treatments efficiently. You will coordinate therapy activities with other healthcare disciplines when appropriate, utilizing resources appropriately, and participating in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized department.

You will perform duties in a professional manner, demonstrating dependability, flexibility, and teamwork, adhering to professional practice standards and guide for professional conduct, maintaining confidentiality of patient and employee medical information, adapting to changes in assignments and/or new conditions in the work environment, and actively participating in intradepartmental and interdepartmental efforts to ensure high-quality, comprehensive care.

You will provide quality customer service, making accommodations in daily work schedules to meet patients' needs, interacting with patients/families/other staff in a friendly and courteous manner, complying with Quality of Service Behavior Guidelines, demonstrating problem-solving by taking ownership of patient and organizational problems and working to resolve them when they occur, demonstrating initiative by independently beginning new projects and/or resolving departmental issues, and demonstrating leadership by volunteering and completing new projects and/or resolving departmental issues when needed.

You will communicate orally with patients/families/caregivers, peers, and supervisors in an appropriate and effective manner, demonstrating professional interpersonal relationships with fellow therapists, providers, and supervisors, accepting supervision in an open and professional manner, and implementing recommendations/suggestions.

You will communicate with patients/families/caregivers, providers, peers, and supervisors in written form that is appropriate and effective.

Basic Qualifications:
Graduate of accredited program in physical therapy.
New graduate acceptable.
Physical Therapist License (Washington)
Physical Therapist License (Oregon)
National Provider Identifier required at hire
Basic Life Support within 2 months of hire

Additional Requirements:
Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology.
Equipment operation.
Basic to moderate computer skills to complete documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of patient assessment and treatment specific to patient load.
Orthopedic skills.
Group dynamics.
Equipment operation.
Advanced degree in specialty.
