Position Overview

DUAL RATE SLOT TECHNICIAN/SLOT ATTENDANT

Role Summary

The Dual Rate Slot Technician/Slot Attendant is responsible for the upkeep and repair of all gaming machines and table game shufflers. In the attendant capacity, this role involves processing jackpot payouts, executing minor repairs on machines, and providing exceptional service to guests on the gaming floor. Timely responses to guest inquiries and maintaining a tidy casino environment are essential components of this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prior experience in the slot department is advantageous, though training is available for qualified candidates.
  • Conduct repairs, overhauls, and preventive maintenance on all slot machines throughout the establishment.
  • Manage the initial setup and testing of new slot machines.
  • Oversee the disassembly, relocation, and reinstallation of slot machines and associated equipment.
  • Ensure accurate communication between all slot games and internal accounting systems; troubleshoot and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of local gaming regulations and internal company policies.
  • Engage in special projects within the slot department, collaborating with team members to interpret gaming documents and gather necessary materials for tasks such as RAM clears and machine upgrades.
  • Perform additional duties related to the slot department as required.
  • Experience with cash handling is preferred.
  • Basic math skills are necessary for processing transactions.
  • Ability to navigate the casino floor for extended periods, up to 10 hours.
  • Customer service experience is beneficial.
  • Foster an entertaining atmosphere for all guests.
  • Maintain a positive demeanor in all interactions with guests and colleagues.
  • Understand and adhere to Title 31 procedures.
  • Effectively communicate promotional offers to guests.
  • Exercise discretion in identifying situations that require management intervention.
  • Safeguard and manage keys in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Comply with all regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Gaming license through the state of Maine.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects. Heavy lifting is required; capability to lift 200 lbs. The role may involve physical exertion such as prolonged standing, walking, and climbing, along with frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting. The work environment may expose individuals to prolonged loud noise.
