Production Machine Adjuster II Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Production Machine Adjuster II to join our team at Winchester Ammunition. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating production machinery to ensure high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate multiple machines simultaneously to meet production demands.
  • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Transport raw materials from storage to production areas using forklifts or other transportation devices.
  • Use hand tools to make mechanical adjustments and repairs on production machinery.
  • Complete machine changeovers and set-ups according to quality specifications.
  • Measure and record production part dimensions using calipers, micrometers, and other quality measuring devices.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing principles to ensure quality meets customer standards.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct mechanical problems with two years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated job stability and a strong work ethic.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed.
  • Must pass a functional physical test and be able to use standard safety equipment and wear required personal protective gear.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as required.

Location-Specific Requirements:

  • Assignments in the Rimfire facility require successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
  • This position requires access to ITAR-controlled technical data, and employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR-controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
  • Ability to pass a physical, drug screen, and background check if job offer is received and accepted.
  • Must be able to attend orientation and training on 1st shift before transitioning to 2nd or 3rd shift primary assignment.
