Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at American Axle & Manufacturing. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting production operations by performing routine maintenance and emergency repairs of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support production operations by performing routine maintenance and emergency repairs of mechanical systems.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot mechanical problems, including but not limited to conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, mechanical and hydraulic presses.
  • Work from available mechanical drawings and equipment specifications and schematics.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and routine inspection maintenance.
  • Operate a forklift, scissor lift / articulating arm boom truck, and other equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with applicable procedures, rules, and regulations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in machine maintenance/building preferred
