Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Supervisor II to lead our procurement team in executing strategic sourcing agreements and subcontract formation activities. The successful candidate will have a strong background in government procurement and subcontracting, with experience in making technical presentations and recommendations to management and senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of procurement specialists to execute strategic sourcing agreements and subcontract formation activities
  • Implement procurement continuous improvement activities and resulting actions to maximize overall Procurement Department effectiveness
  • Collaborate with internal supply chain teams and customers to identify process improvements and drive timely performance while maintaining compliance
  • Coach and ensure employees remain encouraged and engaged while performing a high level of work at a high level of quality and compliance
  • Provide support to various functions within the Procurement Department, including upstream Program and Project Planning, outlying MSTS areas, and the Small Business Program Lead
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience, plus a minimum of 8 years of related and progressively responsible experience
  • Business Administration, Master's degree preferred
  • Government procurement and subcontracting experience a plus, DOE/NNSA experience preferred
  • Background in personally executing construction, services, and/or supplies procurements with a record of verifiable cost savings
  • Experience in making technical presentations and recommendations to management, senior level stakeholders, customers, and vendors as appropriate
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in computerized procurement systems, and proficient with MS Office software package
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interface both internally and externally at all levels of management and staff
What We Offer
  • Annual salary range for this position is: $98,000 - $120,000
  • Flexible work schedule can be negotiated with the manager; employees can work 5/8's, 9/80's
  • Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required
  • MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
