Automation Engineering Leader

As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for executing capital projects to successful completion, developing new engineering designs of basic to moderate complexity, and leading automation projects.
You will work with project managers and other stakeholders to execute successful projects to completion, gather design requirements, and recommend/executes steps to implement basic, moderate, and complex automation designs.
Implementation or design modifications of existing products and processes, gathering information relating to hardware and software solutions, and recommending basic/advanced improvements to designs and processes.
Provide onsite technical support for engineers and all manufacturing builds, including prototypes, NPI & production releases.
Evaluates/selects electronic components and determines suitability and usability for panel building that meet standard requirements and specifications.
Integration and functional testing of software and hardware controls systems; PLC, Industrial PCs, I/O modules, automation networking, and communications.
Analyzes electronic circuits with moderate complexity and can improve or update the design.
Under the guidance of more senior team members, assembles prototypes, designs first powerup, designs debug, and functional circuit verification.
Works with and manages external component suppliers/manufacturers.
Conducts and administers SAT, FAT, commissioning.
Working knowledge of industrial automation, regulatory, and safety standards related to controls and automation.
PLC Programming:
Ladder Logic, Structured Text (Beckhoff, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Keyence)
Manufacturing experience.
Knowledge of quality management systems.
Mechanical aptitude, hands-on work.
Computer & Automation Networks:
Knowledge of TCP/IP and interconnecting controls devices and software platforms.
2D vision-guided robotic (experience in general).
3D scanners (experience in general).
Documentation and process change control management.
AutoCAD / SolidWorks Electrical.
Programming in general and proficiency in C#, C++, VB.NET.
Knowledge of artificial intelligence.
Effectively communicate with good understanding of English.
Availability for travel 25%.
Electronics/Electrical Engineering Degree (BSEE/MSEE or equivalent experience).
8+ years' experience in controls design and implementation and automation in general.
Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
