Job Overview

Position

PeaceHealth is currently seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant Registered (NAR) - Cardiac Prep Recovery for a Full Time, 8 Hour, Variable position. The compensation for this role is competitive, with a salary range of $31.52 for CNA and $30.93 for NAR, contingent upon various factors such as education, experience, and applicable agreements.

Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will assist professional nursing staff in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing direct patient care as assigned by the Registered Nurse, adhering to the scope of CNA licensure.
  • Performing essential technical skills such as CPR, vital sign monitoring, and administering treatments as directed.
  • Assisting patients with personal hygiene and daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, and mobility support.
  • Maintaining the supply inventory to ensure that patient care needs are met efficiently.
  • Documenting relevant patient care information accurately.
  • Offering clerical support to the unit as needed, including order entry and communication tasks.
  • Carrying out additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education
  • Completion of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program is required.
Experience
  • Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in an acute care setting.
  • Required: Knowledge of age-specific care principles and the ability to apply them effectively.
Credentials
  • Required: Certification as a Nurse Assistant in Washington or registration as a Nurse Assistant Registered in Washington.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required upon hire.
Skills

Working Conditions

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to handle patient lifting up to 35 lbs. without assistive devices.
  • Frequent pushing and pulling of equipment up to 45 lbs.
  • Capability to perform CPR and other physical tasks as needed.
Environmental Considerations
  • Exposure to biohazards and bodily fluids.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and occasionally noisy environment.
Mental and Visual Requirements
  • Normal vision and hearing capabilities are necessary.
  • Effective communication and information exchange skills are essential.
