We are in search of a passionate and skilled individual to fill the role of Licensed Veterinary Technician. The position requires availability on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday (8 AM - 6 PM), and Saturday, with Sundays and Thursdays designated as non-working days. Flexibility is essential, as occasional coverage for holidays and other closures may be required. While full-time hours are preferred, part-time arrangements (up to 31 hours per week) will also be considered.
Our clinic promotes a supportive and family-like environment where each team member is appreciated.
We offer a competitive salary ranging from $25 to $32 per hour, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical insurance, paid vacation, sick/personal days, holidays, and a Simple IRA plan. Full-time employees will also benefit from a Continuing Education (CE) allowance.
The ideal candidate should be prepared to engage in moderately physically demanding tasks, which may involve cleaning responsibilities. They must possess the capability to work with ill animals and be aware of potential hazards, cleaning agents, gas anesthetics, zoonotic diseases, and strong odors.
Key responsibilities will include a variety of tasks such as:
- Venipuncture
- Blood pressure monitoring
- Limited laboratory procedures
- Radiology
- Surgical assistance
- Anesthetic administration and monitoring
- Nursing care
- Vaccination and medication administration
- Client education sessions
Proficiency in anesthesia procedures is highly desirable.
