Compensation
The salary range for this position is $31.52 for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and $30.93 for Nursing Assistant Registered (NAR). The hiring rate is influenced by various factors, including education, training, and relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting professional nursing staff in delivering compassionate and high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct patient care as assigned by the Registered Nurse, within the CNA licensure scope.
- Performing essential technical skills such as CPR, taking and documenting vital signs, and measuring fluid intake/output.
- Administering treatments as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Assisting patients with personal care needs, including bathing, grooming, and toileting.
- Supporting patients with mobility, including walking and transferring in and out of bed.
- Maintaining inventory by stocking patient rooms and supply areas.
- Documenting relevant patient care information accurately.
- Offering clerical support, including order entry and chart processing.
Qualifications
Education: Completion of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program is required.
Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
Credentials: Must hold a Certified Nurse Assistant or Registered Nurse Assistant certification in Washington.
