Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

Century Distribution Systems is a leading provider of supply chain, logistics, and freight management services. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to join our team.

About the Role:

  • Prepare monthly closing journal entries, reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, and gross margin reports.
  • Participate in the rollout of new internal control procedures and documentation of processes.
  • Streamline processes to strengthen the infrastructure and support business growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare accrual files.
  • Generate financial reports, including gross margin reports and management reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial footnotes and support for audit requests.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting and/or financial reporting.
  • Public accounting experience preferred, but not required.
  • CPA certification or completion of CPA exams.
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency in advanced commands.
  • Critical thinking skills and attention to detail.

Work Environment:

The work environment is a business office with a low noise level. The employee must be able to sit for long periods, occasionally stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Century is committed to the Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program. All employees are required to report any anomalies to the Century USA and Asia C-TPAT contacts.
