Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly closing journal entries, including standard accruals, payroll, depreciation, and other necessary entries for North American operations.
  • Conduct reconciliations of general ledger accounts for North American entities.
  • Create and maintain general ledger accounts for accurate financial reporting.
  • Generate monthly gross margin reports for North American operations.
  • Review accrual files to ensure proper revenue and expense recognition in accordance with GAAP.
  • Perform monthly integrations of accounting systems for consolidation purposes.
  • Prepare quarterly tax returns and annual property tax filings.
  • Assist in documenting accounting processes through Internal Control Narratives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency within the accounting department.
  • Support the preparation of financial footnotes and respond to audit requests.
  • Provide ad hoc financial reports and analyses as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting.
  • Public accounting experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions such as PIVOT tables and LOOKUP commands.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workflow effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
