Position Overview:

The Clinical Staff Leader serves as a direct supervisory figure and is an integral part of the Nursing leadership team. This role involves overseeing a group of staff members while actively engaging in the management of the unit, enhancing clinical practices, and ensuring high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include accountability for leadership, quality, service, compliance, financial management, patient throughput, and scheduling. The Clinical Staff Leader's primary goal is to optimize unit performance through effective problem-solving for staff, patients, and families, as well as to mentor and guide the assigned team. Feedback and coaching to staff members are essential, recognizing their contributions and fostering a culture of high performance.

Work Schedule: Ten-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with and support the professional growth of team members and other staff as necessary.
  • Establish and uphold standards for exceptional patient care.
  • Oversee, manage, and assess the performance of the team.
  • Coordinate multiple projects and ongoing tasks, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Act as a clinical authority, facilitating education on clinical standards and providing guidance to team members.
  • Ensure clinical assignments are tailored to patient care needs and staff competencies.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
