We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Hospitalist Physician to join our team at Pediatrix Medical Group. As a Pediatric Hospitalist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to children on the pediatric floor, working closely with families and referring physicians to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities- Manage patients on the pediatric floor, with an average daily census of 12-18 patients in the 26-bed pediatric medical/surgical unit.
- Provide primary management of patients, including consultation with families and referring physicians.
- Collaborate with subspecialty teams, including neurology, pulmonary, cardiology, infectious disease, endocrinology, gastroenterology, hematology/oncology, surgery, orthopedics, and ENT.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, working closely with patients and their families to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of best practices and protocols.
- Board certification or Board eligible in Pediatrics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong clinical skills, with the ability to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.
