Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to work in our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The ideal candidate will have experience in providing critical care to pediatric patients and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to pediatric patients in the PICU, including ventilation, oxygen therapy, and aerosol therapy.
  • Assess and manage patients with respiratory distress or failure, including intubation and extubation.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Monitor and maintain patient records, including vital signs, medication administration, and treatment plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of Tennessee.
  • 1 year of experience in pediatric critical care, preferably in a PICU setting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
