Job Summary:

Fusion is seeking a highly qualified Science Teacher and Tutor to join our team. As a Science Educator and Mentor, you will provide a student-centered, supportive classroom environment that promotes compassion, tolerance, and independent critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and tutor students in Biology, Anatomy, and Life Science at grade levels 6-12, providing a one-to-one teaching experience.

  • Adapt and differentiate instruction for all students, creating a classroom forum for holistic growth and development.

  • Maintain accurate student and teacher records, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents and teachers, fostering a sense of community and cooperation.

  • Contribute to and benefit from the campus community, promoting a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement.

  • Practice ongoing professional development, reflection, and continuous improvement, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry trends.

  • Provide significant student mentoring, supporting students in their academic and personal growth.

  • Perform other duties as assigned, including tutoring part-time students and contributing to the overall success of the campus.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required, with a higher level Science background and solid subject matter knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at grade levels 6-12.

  • Teaching credentials are a plus, but not mandatory. Experience with students with learning differences and ADHD is also highly valued.

  • The ideal candidate is outgoing, well-organized, and competent in basic computer skills, with a passion for working in a dynamic and energetic school setting.

  • Candidates must be prepared to teach and tutor material at a high school level immediately, with a commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth.
