About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Architect to join our team at Amazon Web Services, Inc. As a key member of our Strategic Accounts segment, you will be responsible for partnering with our most valuable customers to design and implement cloud architectures utilizing AWS services.

In this role, you will work closely with our customers to understand their business challenges and develop solutions that leverage the power of cloud computing. You will also engage with product owners to influence product direction and help our customers tap into new markets by utilizing AWS Services.

As a trusted customer advocate, you will help organizations understand and implement advanced cloud-based solutions, and how to migrate and scale existing workloads in the cloud. You will have the opportunity to shape and execute a strategy to build knowledge and broad use of AWS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud architectures utilizing AWS services
  • Partner with customers to understand their business challenges and develop solutions
  • Engage with product owners to influence product direction and help customers tap into new markets
  • Help organizations understand and implement advanced cloud-based solutions
  • Shape and execute a strategy to build knowledge and broad use of AWS
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in cloud computing, software development, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience developing technology solutions and evangelizing end-to-end technology roadmaps
  • 5+ years of experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences
  • 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures
Preferred Qualifications
  • AWS certification, such as AWS Solutions Architect, or a similar cloud certification
  • Professional experience architecting, operating cloud-based solutions
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies, learn quickly, and manage high ambiguity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
