Job Title: DSP Residential IRA

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate DSP Residential IRA to join our team at Oswego County Opportunities, Inc. As a DSP Residential IRA, you will provide person-centered support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their safety, well-being, and quality of life.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including daily living routines, hygiene practices, and medication administration.
  • Assist with medical needs, participate in appointments, and complete necessary documentation.
  • Plan and prepare meals, grocery shop, and ensure individuals' dietary needs are met.
  • Participate in and implement habilitation plans, ensuring provision of Medicaid billable services.
  • Ensure proper handling of Agency money and documentation for approved purchases.
  • Assist with house cleaning, laundry, and routine household maintenance.
  • Schedule and participate in individual activities, ensuring community integration and providing transportation.
  • Document and report incidents in accordance with OPWDD regulations and Agency procedures.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalency preferred.
  • 1-3 years of paid employment, volunteer experience, or related life experience.
  • Ability to work assigned schedule and be reasonably flexible with work schedule.
  • Valid NYS Driver's license with good driving record (for some shifts).
  • Ability to perform within the DD program Functional Job Description, including lifting, pushing wheelchairs, and assisting with transfers.
