Starting Salary Range for Financial Accountant II:
  • $62,918 - $67,021 per year
Key Responsibilities of the Financial Accountant II:
  • Ensures the accuracy of financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
  • Handles complex accounting tasks, including lease accounting and management of repossessed properties.
  • Facilitates month-end close activities, prepares call reports, and oversees accounts payable processes.
  • Monitors regulatory changes and ensures compliance in all reporting processes.
  • Conducts accounting research and assists Accounting Associates in applying accounting principles.
  • Prepares and posts journal entries, reconciling assigned general ledger accounts using automated software.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements in work methods.
  • Assists with financial, tax, and regulatory audits, applying knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Documents and monitors internal controls to support organizational objectives.
  • Completes special projects and extensive research as directed by Accounting management.
Required Qualifications for Financial Accountant II:
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Preferred experience in financial institutions.
  • Experience with large databases is advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; a degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
Work Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; occasional weekend work may be required.
