Job Summary:

The Paralegal will support a high-volume caseload, including client intakes, preparing court forms and case documents, and assisting attorneys with discovery requests. You will also conduct outreach and education efforts to homeless service providers, unhoused individuals, and those at imminent risk of homelessness.

Responsibilities:
  • Complete client intakes and support a high-volume caseload
  • Prepare court forms and case documents under the supervision of an attorney
  • Assist attorneys with discovery requests, including drafting, serving, and preparing responses
  • File court documents and maintain well-organized digital case files
  • Conduct outreach and education efforts to homeless service providers and individuals at risk of homelessness
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties, including communicating with clients and calendaring
Requirements:
  • A paralegal certificate/degree from an ABA-approved institution or a bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of law-related experience
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and ability to translate between English and Spanish (strongly preferred)
  • Proficiency with internet and web-based applications, MS Office, and electronic case management systems
  • At least 2 years of law office experience supporting multiple attorneys (preferred)
