Position Overview

The University of Denver is seeking a dedicated Marketing Assistant to support the Lamont School of Music's promotional efforts. This role involves the creation of visually appealing materials that enhance the visibility of various programs and performances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and faculty to develop tailored materials for specific events.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven experience in creating event-specific graphics and print materials.
  • Familiarity with the University of Denver and the Lamont School of Music is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Required: Current undergraduate or graduate student at DU, in good academic standing.

Preferred: Music majors or minors from Lamont will be prioritized. Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop) is desirable, or a willingness to learn.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position, allowing flexibility in work location and hours, provided deadlines are met. Regular check-ins with the Marketing and Communications Manager will be scheduled, which can occur virtually or in-person.

Compensation

The position offers a competitive pay rate of $20 per hour, with an estimated workload of 5-10 hours per week. Preference will be given to students eligible for federal work-study.
