ResponsibilitiesRefrigeration Start-up Technicians are responsible for the start-up of supermarket refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment to ensure customer needs are met efficiently, accurately, and on time. They assist with Energy Optimization (EO) projects and must have advanced knowledge of solid-state controls, oil systems safety controls, mechanical sub-cooling, and energy management systems.
Technicians must carry the skillset of a Journeyman level, including construction experience in performing installation of refrigeration systems, electrical, plumbing, and fixtures. They will function as subject matter experts for processes, procedures, and projects, performing evacuations of parallel racks, EMS wiring and programming, and full start-up of new parallel refrigeration systems.
QualificationsWe are seeking highly skilled technicians with a high school diploma or GED, coursework at an accredited vocational-technical or trade school, and 3+ years of experience in supermarket EMS systems. EMS Certification is preferred, and 5+ years of experience in commercial refrigeration, especially with parallel rack systems, is required. EPA I and II Certification and a valid driver's license are also necessary.
Our ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of refrigeration, ice machines, and electrical systems, as well as the ability to efficiently troubleshoot commercial and supermarket refrigeration equipment. Strong communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with customers, management, crew, and team are essential.
