Job Title: Administrative Assistant and Bookkeeper

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant and Bookkeeper to join our team at Ferd & Gladys Alpert Jewish Family & Children's Service. As an integral part of our Guardianship Program, this role will provide administrative support to the Director of Guardianship and Care Management, as well as manage assets for wards under guardianship.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need a high school diploma and at least 2-3 years of experience with accounting and bookkeeping. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, and experience with Electronic Records Systems is a plus. Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail are also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Guardianship and Care Management
  • Manage assets for wards under guardianship, including identifying and locating ward assets, marshaling assets under guardianship control, and managing investments according to asset committee direction
  • Prepare and forward financial reports to guardianship attorneys for court submission and to administrative team for review on a quarterly basis
  • Process intake when needed
  • Attend weekly Guardianship meetings
  • Go to bank on a regular basis

Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience
