About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Baytree Animal Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and client service in a fast-paced, multi-doctor animal hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Veterinarians in the care of animals, including restraining animals when necessary, stocking examination and surgery rooms with supplies, and sterilizing tools.
  • Communicate with clients (pet owners) and update patient files.
  • Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to ensure seamless patient care and a positive client experience.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, healthy and positive communication skills, and the ability to multi-task in a hands-on environment.
  • Energetic and compassionate individual with excellent work ethic and social and organizational skills.
  • Be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Self-starter personality with the ability to complete daily tasks without constant direction.
  • Prior experience in a veterinary setting is preferred.
