Position Overview

Bitcoin Depot is on the lookout for a dedicated Accounting Director who will be instrumental in facilitating the company's expansion as part of the accounting division. This role will involve close collaboration with the Controller to establish accounting guidelines, oversee the annual audit, and enhance operational efficiencies. The ideal candidate will be expected to contribute at both tactical and strategic levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the month-end closing procedures
  • Analyze large volumes of data for account reconciliations
  • Coordinate quarterly and annual audit processes with the Controller
  • Set performance expectations for direct reports
  • Ensure financial statements comply with US GAAP and SOX regulations
  • Collaborate with the finance team on monthly budget discrepancies

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years in accounting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role at a public company
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Active CPA License
  • Experience with month-end closing
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proven management experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in financial reporting
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities
  • Familiarity with Sage Intacct
  • Commitment to meeting deadlines
