Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at Bon Appetit Management Company. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for maintaining the account in accordance with the approved budget while meeting client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage a team of employees to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality food preparation.
  • Conduct safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote the professional growth and development of the entire team.
  • Manage purchasing and inventory controls to maintain food cost while ensuring quality standards.
  • Stay up-to-date on current culinary trends and bring cutting-edge food into our cafes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Five to seven years of upscale food service experience, including one year of multi-unit management.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to constant changes.
  • Supervisory, scheduling, training, and coaching skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of HACCP controls and proper storage and use of food.
  • Experience with menu planning and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of cash handling procedures and reconciliation of multiple cash banks and reports.
  • Experience with ServSafe or Department of Health certification.
