Assistant General Manager

We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at AC by Marriott South San Francisco Oyster Point. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest service, and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in sales calls and site visits to acquire new business and close deals.
- Review financial reports and statements to identify areas of concern and improve performance.
- Coach and support hotel team members to effectively manage wages and controllable expenses.
- Manage costs within the hotel, including supplies, labor, utilities, food, and beverage expenses.
- Ensure service, technical skills, and other training occurs throughout the property.
- Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with direct reports and the entire team.
- Hire team members who demonstrate strong functional expertise, creativity, and leadership.
- Observe service behaviors of team members and provide feedback to individuals and/or supervisors.
- Review comment cards, guest survey results, and other data to identify areas of improvement with team members.
- Analyze service issues and identify trends while facilitating the development of creative solutions to overcome obstacles.
- Previous hotel management experience with a proven success in leadership of teams and guest service results.
- Prior experience with direct sales efforts producing at least 50% market mix of total revenues and overall strong financial knowledge.
- High school diploma with a college degree preferred.
- Valid driver's license from the appropriate state.
- Exceptional time management and multitasking skills.
- Customer focus and consistently strive to deliver optimal employee and customer satisfaction for the hotel.
You must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time as the job dictates.
Travel RequirementsThis position requires up to 10% travel. Travel is outside the local area and overnight.

Pay: $95,000 - $100,000 per year
